The suitability condition survey of AHTS. DIAN RADIANCE was conducted on March 25, 2014 whilst she was safely anchorage at Sekupang anchorage area, Batam, Indonesia  with the purpose of the Suitability Survey is to check the real condition of the vessel. We conducted detail inspection on the vessel by checking on the vessel’s documents/certificates, physical hull & machinery, interior & equipment. 

Based on our finding, we are on the opinion that the vessel is to be fit operating as supply vessel offshore.

General Condition

The “DIAN RADIANCE” is a new twin screw anchor handling towing vessel  DP-1 with steel welded construction offshore support vessel, designed for a  AHTS  with main propulsion was powered by 2 x 2,575 HP, Caterpillar Diesel type 3516C  and equipped with 2 x 450 KW generator  Caterpillar type C18 and 1 x 65 KW emergency  generator caterpillar type C4.4.

The ship’s was built the 2013 at Guangzhou Hangtong Shipbuilding Co. Ltd  China under  classification of Bureau Veritas (B.V)  regulation.



Based on our inspection, the condition port and starboard shell plating were found generally in good condition.

The main engine, auxiliary engine and other machineries, deck machineries and ship’s outfitting were found in working order and well maintained.

All propulsion, main engine, auxiliary engine and machineries indicators, instrument and panel control were reportedly in operating order.


All navigation and communication equipment such as GPS, SSB, marine VHF, echo sounder, compass, radar and etc. were found in good operating order.

The safety equipment was available on board such as rescue boat, life buoy, life raft, life jackets and fire fighting appliances apparently in good operating order.

Engine room, main switch board room, steering gear compartment and other machinery space, emergency escape/hatch way including its ladder and hatch cover were found well maintained and in good condition.


Generally the vessel’s freeboard was noted to be structurally in good condition.

Around the both side of hull was provided with half steel pipe fender.

The main deck structure and wooden flooring were found fully coated and satisfactory condition. Port and starboard bulwarks with rescue zone marking, double bollards, panama cock on main deck as well as port and starboard bulwark, double bollards and panama chock on upper deck were found in good condition. 


External deck house including rails, ladder, windows and deck structure found in satisfactory condition, engine exhaust funnel and ventilation were found in good condition as well.

Wheelhouse including forward and aft console, sofa and the desk was found in satisfactory condition. The top wheelhouse (monkey island ) including mast light, rails and stairway were found in good condition.

The interior accommodation including cabins, galley, mess room, passageway and staircase appear in good condition.

All Firefighting, safety and live saving appliances were found in good condition.

 

   Shell Plating/Hull Condition

§  The visible areas at port and starboard shell plating above the water line were found well coated and good condition.

§  The steel half pipe fender and tire fender around the hull were found old in good condition.

§  The load line, draft and plimsoll marks were clear marking. Generally condition of the vessel hull was good condition.

§  Paint coating was intact and in good condition.

§  Man hole covers where properly secured with a full set of bolt and nuts and good 

gasket.

§  Ventilator , sounding pipes and watertight doors were noted to be in good condition.



  Main Deck & Fitting

§  The main deck plate and wooden sheathed  was found  in good condition.

§  Port and starboard side bulwark with stays were found in good condition.

§  FO filling, air ventilation, bollard  and sounding pipes were found in good

   condition. 

§  The Vessel was fitted with stern roller   for anchor handling purpose found in good

    condition

§  The unit is fitted with single arm pedestal crane located on port mid ship rate at 3.0 tons at 14 meters radius was found in good condition 



 Upper Deck

§  Deck plating, railing, stair were well painted and in good condition.

§  Skylight, windows were found in good condition

§  Accommodation for 42 man such us officer cabins, crew cabins, passageway, galley and mess room were shown well maintenance and in good condition.

§  Hospital room was found in good condition



 Bridge Deck

§  Deck plating, railing, stair were well painted and in good condition.

§  Skylight, windows were found in good condition

§  Wheel house, office and passageway were shown well maintenance and in good condition.

   Superstructure

The superstructure located at fwd. side, comprises of wheel house and accommodation.

The superstructure plating was found in good condition.



   Engine Room and Machineries

§  The vessel was powered by 2 x 2,575 HP, Caterpillar Diesel type 3516C and equipped with 2 x 450 KW main generator Caterpillar type C18 and 1 unit emergency generator Caterpillar C4.4 capacity  65 KW

§  Engine room, machineries space and engine  room were shown well maintenance and in good condition.

§  Main engine, propulsion system, shaft alternator, generator and machineries system were reportedly in good operation order.

§  Vessel’s Maintenance System for main engine and accessories, propulsion system, generator, alternator and machineries systems are  comply with vessel’s planed maintenance system (PMS) monthly.

                                     

  Towing &  Anchor Handling

The unit is fitted with Towing winch hydraulic driven double drum waterfall type rated at 150 tons stalling pull at first layer with a brake holding power of 200 tons

Complementing the towing /work winch were as follows :

§  Towing Pins                         : 2 x vertical hydraulic Karmoy type 200 Tons

§  Shark Jaw                           : 1 x SWL 200 Tons

§  Tugger Winch                       : 2 x 10 Tons @ 15 m/minutes

§  Captans                              : 2 x 5 Tons @ 15 m/minutes

The towing/work winch in general was tested from bridge and local control and noted in good condition.


Towing equipment which was found to be generally good condition consisted of :

§  Main Towline                       : 1,000 meter  x 52 mm diameter

§  Work wire                           : 700 meter x 52 mm diameter

§  Spare tow wire                     : available

§  Towing pennant                             : available

§  Shackle                               : available in various size

§  Anchor line hook                  : 2 pieces SWL 25 Tons
